Creating magic in three weeks
Faber-Castell is one of the world’s largest and oldest manufacturers of pens, pencils and art supplies. Its creative agency, DAVID The Agency, came up with a brief to produce a stop-motion film to support the local launch of SuperSoft, a brand-new sustainable pencil line.
Hogarth was brought in to produce the CGI for the ad, as well as an original soundtrack to match the colourful and youthful mood.
With a tight deadline, the original stop-motion technique brief was not a viable option. Instead, we decided to produce the film in an entirely 3D environment, which allowed the Hogarth team to quickly control all aspects of each element. Hogarth’s creative team also came up with the idea to align the beat of the soundtrack with the movements of the pencils to make a more dynamic and vibrant spot.
Hogarth produced this captivating and photo-realistic CGI spot with an original soundtrack in just three weeks.
